Our front desk is open 24/7 in the high season. From 1.11.2023 the reception is open 07:00-23:00. For arrival after 23:00, please check-in at Anker Hotel at Storgata 55 (next door, direction Grünerløkka).  Anker Hotel  is open 24/7.

The night entrance (on the right side of the reception) is open 24/7 and can be accessed using your keycard.

Our hostel is located on Storgata 53H, only a 7 minute walk from the Central Station. The hostel is also accessible via public transport. Take tram number 11 or 12 (direction Kjelsås), and tram 17 or 18 (direction Grefsen). Exit the tram at Nybrua, and you will see Anker Hostel and Anker Hotel on the left side of the street. Check out alternatives on how to get to the Hostel by public transportation, car or by walking.

YES! One set of bedlinen and towels are included in the rate.

Additional sets can be rented in the reception for NOK 70.

Lost items will be stored for 1 month. Guests are responsible for covering cost related to shipping lost items.

We can confirm lost items are ready for collection (pick-up box) by the post office/DHL, but we are not able to covers costs or take lost items to the post office.

You can check in from 15.00. Check out is until 11.00.

After 23:00: If our reception is closed, you have to check in at Anker Hotel next door, at Storgata 55. (25 meters direction Grünerløkka)

Nice! Then you have even more time to explore Oslo or get to know our Hostel/crew. We can offer you an early check in if the room is ready. If it’s not, the check in starts at 15.00 and you can leave your luggage in our luggage-room.

Yes. You can use our luggage room free of charge. The room is locked, but please note that all guests that keep their luggage in the storage room have access. We therefor recommend that you don’t leave any valuables (Computer, passport, telephone etc.). You are welcome to use one of our lockers for these things (bring you own pad lock or purchase one in the reception).

Yes, we have inside parking facilities next to our Hostel.  The parking-facilities are run by Onepark

Yes, free and superfast wifi is always included.

Yes, there is a kitchen in each room. You can borrow a kitchen set in our reception with everything you need to make a delicious meal for a deposit of NOK 200/Euro 20. You can keep the set for three hours  if you stay in our dormitories and you`ll get the deposit back when the set is returned. If you stay in a private room you can keep the kitchen set for the whole stay. Please return the kitchen set within the receptions opening hours to get your deposit back. (07.00-23.00)

Yes, you can. The hostel bar serves beer, wine and cider, as well as soft drinks and coffee/tea.

Please note: According to Norwegian law it is prohibited to drink self bought alcohol in the hostel reception/lobby and outside seating area.

No. Anker Hostel is a non-smoking area. You are welcome to smoke outside, in the designated area in front of the main entrance. There is a fine of 2500, – NOK for smoking inside.

The nearest laundry is “Clean kokos” in Markveien 28 – just 10 minutes walk from the hostel!

Anker Hotel next door serve a breakfast buffet.

Anker Hotel have a  large selection of hypoallergenic products. If you have any questions regarding this, do not hesitate to ask the restaurant staff and they will be happy to help.

Absolutely. You can always ask the reception for things to do in Oslo during your stay. Book tickets to fun activities and attraction here.

Yes, we do! The roof terrace is open during the summer season. 9 am to 11 pm. Take the elevator to the ninth floor to access the terrace.

Anker Hostel has an automatic fire alarm system that notifies the fire brigade as soon as the fire alarm sets off. In case of fire alarm: please leave your room immediately and follow the instructions of the receptionist.

Yes, you can send us a request. We cannot guarantee the request, but we will always try to do our best.

Yes. You can book a bed in a female dorm and share a room with other female travelers. If female dorms are fully booked you can send a request via mail, and we will do our best to place you in a dorm with other women.

Please note that we are a cashless hostel. We accept payment by the following credit cards: Visa, Mastercard, Diners Club, America Express.

Our age limit is 18 for guests who are traveling without parents/guardians.
